How to Quickly Cancel an Insurance Policy ~ Insurance Academy

Many insurance customers search on google about how to cancel an insurance policy. Of course, every insurance policy has a cancellation clause on how to cancel the insurance policy. If you don’t find it on the policy, you can call the insurance call center where your policy was issued.

Call CS Insurance
Contact your insurance Customer Service (CS) and state your intention to cancel the policy. Usually, you will be asked about: your policy number, reason for cancellation, effective date of cancellation, and premium refund account number (if there is a premium refund).

Telephone Credit Card Issuing Bank

If you pay the premium by autodebit from a credit card, you will need to call your credit card issuing bank to request cancellation of the autodebit. Usually, the bank will just say that the auto-debit termination process will be carried out by the policy issuing company.
But if you are not sure, you can call to report that your credit card is lost so that the Bank will block the card and you will get a new card. Thus, the company can no longer auto-debit.

Close Bank Account

The extreme but can be done is to close the bank account and open a new account. This happens if you autodebit with a passbook. If the savings book is replaced with a new book and account number, it will no longer be auto-debited
